About Legacy

A nonprofit built to keep elders seen, supported, and remembered.

Legacy of Love Elder Mission supports older adults and families through non-medical care access navigation, companionship, caregiver relief planning, practical guidance, volunteer coordination, approved charitable support, and optional prayer or spiritual support when requested.

Why this matters

Every elder carries history, family, work, faith, style, and memory.

Legacy exists because older adults deserve to be seen as whole people. A visit, a call, a meal, a prayer when welcomed, or one documented support step can remind a family that their elder has not been forgotten.

Our purpose

Why Legacy exists

Many families love their elders deeply but still struggle to cover enough time, attention, transportation, companionship, and relief. Legacy of Love Elder Mission exists for the space between love and capacity. We help turn community giving into direct, practical support for older adults and the families caring for them.

Our work is non-medical. We do not replace doctors, nurses, emergency services, or licensed medical care. Our role is to support dignity: friendly visits, caregiver relief planning, care-access navigation, basic support, and a steady reminder that elders are not burdens. When paid in-home care is needed, we help families understand appropriate IHSS, registered caregiver, licensed provider, or community-partner paths rather than acting as an unlicensed home-care agency.

The mission begins in Whittier and nearby communities. As support grows, we plan to document each program, each funded need, and each major step so donors, families, and volunteers can see a real organization forming around real care.
