Plans and reports

A clear plan for a young nonprofit.

Legacy is new, so our public reports are still beginning. This page shows the scope we are building, what we plan to measure, and how we intend to report progress as donations, volunteers, referrals, and support activity grow.

2026 startup scope

What Legacy is building first

We are starting with a focused model: find elders and caregivers who need support, raise donations for approved non-medical support needs, coordinate volunteers and appropriate care-access resources, and document the work so donors and the board can see what happened.

  • Non-medical care access navigation, companionship, caregiver relief planning, practical coordination, and optional prayer or spiritual support when requested.
  • Guidance toward IHSS, registered caregivers, licensed providers, community partners, and volunteer support when those paths fit the family need.
  • Initial service focus in Whittier, nearby Los Angeles County communities, and supporters connected to the Legacy mission.
  • Future Colombia mission development only where the work is tied to charitable service, renewal, clean air, natural food, faith when welcomed, and help for people in need.
  • No emergency response, nursing, medical diagnosis, medication management, or clinical care.

Strategic themes

The work we will organize around.

Find elders and caregivers who need support

Build a simple intake path for families, churches, neighbors, and community partners to tell Legacy about real elder-care needs.

Turn donations into documented support

Use donations for approved non-medical support, care-access navigation, reasonable program operations, and records that connect gifts to actual help.

Grow a volunteer and community service program

Give volunteers clear roles, safe boundaries, timesheets, supervisor review, and service-hour letters when appropriate.

Build trusted local partnerships

Reach churches, senior centers, neighborhood groups, small businesses, and caregivers who can help identify needs and support families.

Develop the Colombia mission carefully

Share the finca and future church pathway as a charitable service project focused on rest, clean air, natural food, faith when welcomed, and support for people in need.

Impact measures

What we will track

Early numbers may be small, but small numbers still matter when they are real. Legacy will track activity that shows whether support is reaching elders, caregivers, volunteers, and community partners.

Accountability

Operating principles

We review each request for charitable purpose before using donated funds.

We keep records of donor-funded support, expenses, and follow-up.

We do not present companionship or prayer as medical care, nursing care, or emergency service.

We do not present Legacy as an unlicensed home-care agency. When paid in-home care is needed, families are guided toward IHSS, registered caregivers, licensed providers, or approved community partners.

We respect elders and families across religious, cultural, and personal backgrounds.

We use official organization accounts, email, phone, and banking wherever possible.
