Community service

A structured way to serve and document volunteer hours.

Legacy welcomes volunteers who need meaningful community service experience. We can verify completed hours when they are approved, documented, and connected to the nonprofit mission.

How hours work

We verify real service, not automatic credit.

A school, court, employer, scholarship program, or outside agency may have its own rules for what counts as community service. Legacy can provide a signed letter confirming hours actually served for our nonprofit, but the outside organization decides whether to accept those hours.

  1. Volunteer completes a simple intake request and explains what kind of service hours they need.
  2. Legacy confirms whether the volunteer role is appropriate, safe, and connected to the nonprofit mission.
  3. The volunteer records dates, start and end times, tasks, and location or remote activity.
  4. A Legacy supervisor reviews the record before hours are approved.
  5. Legacy may issue a signed verification letter for completed hours, but the outside school, court, or agency decides whether to accept it.
